BRIDAL GOWNS, SHOES AND ACCESSORIES:
Your gown's style is so important when you want to create a look which complements your figure and says everything about you. Your gown will be one of the most important decisions you will make. Everyone will look at you, and your groom will always remember how beautiful you looked on your wedding day, and remember: it is your wedding day and it is important that you feel comfortable and select the perfect design. It will take you months before making a decision and our recommendation is to start your search as soon as you book your wedding. We recommend visiting different bridal shops, try different styles and think of all the accessories which would compliment the wedding dress.
Do not be forced into buying a gown you are not comfortable with.
It is also very important that you think about your wedding shoes. Ensure you buy stylish yet comfortable wedding shoes as you will be standing most of the time. Once you have decided your wedding gown style, we suggest you buy your shoes so that when the final amendments must be made, you can wear them and ensure the hem is in line with your shoes. Take your time to consider the various styles and how they complement your figure, and if your budget allows it, you may want to hire a professional personal shopper. Your gown should be ready at least 2 months before the wedding so that if amendmnets need to be made, there is still time.
If you are marrying in Italy during summertime, consider that it will be very hot, and subject to where you are getting married you may want to avoid a heavy gown with a long trail; especially if you wish to go for a walking tour with the photographer, as subject to where you are getting married there may be a lot of walking to do, and you would not want to carry around unnecessary weight!
When temperatures are high, the heat can make you feel bloated or swollen. If this is you, ensure that you mention this when buying your wedding gown. If you are having a gown with laces at the back you should be fine, however of your gown has a panel at the back, you may want to ask for a larger panel, so that in the event you feel swollen, you will not have problems wearing your gown. If your gown has a zip, you may want to try one which is half size larger than yours.
On your wedding day, ensure that you take the time to undo the laces and prepare your gown. We also recommend not waiting until the last moment to wear it so that if there is a problem or a clip does not work, you can get it amended by your mum or bridesmaid! And remember to bring some brooches, needles and cotton just in case you need to do urgent adjustment to your gown. Most importantly, do not panic, stay calm and think of how to solve the problem.
Finally, if you are marrying in an Italian church, ensure that you cover your shoulders, and therefore buy a veil or an accessory which compliments your gown.

Lingerie is very personal, and we suggest that you go to a shop with specializes in lingerie or bridal lingerie. This will be subject to your gown, as you may want to buy a bodice, or a two piece lingerie, but whatever you do, do not undervalue its importance. More tips coming soon
