Q.What is the Cost to get Married in Italy?

A.This is one of the most frequently questions we receive. Costs are subject to your requirements. Each couple has different ideas and requirements, and the cost of the wedding will be subject to the type fo ceremony requested, the location, the type of venue selected, the dates of travel, the wedding date and time, the number of guests attending, whether or not there are children,  the number of nights/ days staying, the types, quantity and  quality of services requested and so on. For an elope wedding in Italy we recommend budgeting from a  minimum of £3,000 sterling and over.  For weddings up to 30 - 40 people we recommend budgeting from a minimum of £8,000 sterling and over and for all weddings over 40 people  we recommend a budget over £10,000. Q. Can you organize small and large weddings?

A. Yes, we can.

Q. Is it  customary to pay for the guests travel arrangements?

A. Generally guests pay for their own travel arrangements and accomodation. You may decide to pay for some of your guests' accomodation, or to contribute towards the cost of their travel arrangements and this is entirely up to you.

Q. Can you assist us with the guests' accommodation ?

A. Yes we can. Our main role is to deal with your wedding arrangements, therefore we will not push you into book accommodation for your guests through us, however thanks to our knowledge and connections we can assist you with your guests accommodation. It is important to note that if you are hiring a venue which provides accommodation for the guests, this will have to be booked through We Do Weddings by A&J as it will be part of your contract..

Q. Do we have to book everything through you?

A. No, you do not; however if you do not know well the area where you are getting married and you do not have the  connections we have, we recommend that you let us assist you with everything that concerns your wedding as we will be able to liaise with our suppliers and therefore negotiate on your behalf. We will not be able to coordinate the services you will book directly or through other agencies. Before you do this, we recommend that you let us know what type of assistance you require from us and we will advise how we can work with you.

Q.Can you assist us with the legal and/ or religious  paperwork only?

A. Yes we can, however please note that the way we work is to usually take care of the booking of the church or town hall so that we can then follow everything that concerns the wedding ceremony. If you have never been to Italy or if you do not have anyone onsite to follw this up, you will get lost and you will put your wedding arrangements at risk. Our prices are reasonable therefore contact us today and let us know what your requirements are. We will confirm what we can do do for you and at what cost.

Q. Do you handle the wedding paperwpork when it reaches your offices?

A. Yes we do, however it is subject to where you are getting married, as on occasions we will aks you to send the paperwork to a different address.

A. The best thing to do is to contact us and let us have your requirements. However if you would like to see what we have to offer please click on Weddings in Italy and on your left hand side you will see the various links to our Italian Wedding Destinations.  The reason you will not find hundreds of venues on our website is that we only work with selected venues. There are many different types of venues available for Weddings in Italy, however you must appreciate that Italy is a big country and each destination has its own characteristics. This means that for example you will have difficulties in finidng a Palladian villa on the Amalfi Coast. Our suggestion is to let us know how you envisage your wedding and what your requirements are. We will then provide you our recommendations.

Q. Who are your suppliers?

A. We work with the entire Italian Peninsula therefore we work with many different  wedding professionals. Our suppliers and venues are selected by our Weddings in Italy specialist and are professionals we know and trust. If they do not meet our requirements and conduct criterias they are not selected. We only work with professionals and reliable suppliers.

Q. Will you provide us with your suppliers contact details?

A. No. Your main contact is We Do Weddings by A&J.  There is no need for you to contact our suppliers as we liasie with them on your behalf. Most of them do not speak English and becasue they supply services and are not wedding planners they prefer to deal with us directly.

Q. What can we book through you?

Q. How do I travel to destination?

A. You can hire a car, travel by train or bus, or we can arrange private transfers. Subject to where you are getting married we will be happy to provide you with full details.

Q. Where can we stay?

A. There are different types of accommodation available in Italy and it is subject to your requirements and budget. You can stay in a hotel, self-catering accommodation, B&B, self-catering villa, farmhouse, castle, palazzo, etc.

Q. We have children, what do you recommend?

A. There are many accommodation and venues that offer facilities for children. Let us know your requirements and we will let you have our suggestions.

Q. Do you organize onsite inspection, taste of the menu etc.?

A. Yes we do and sometimes there is a cost to pay, however this is subject to the location selected. We will advise you once we have more information from you.

Q. What happens on our wedding day?

A. On your wedding day our onsite English Speaking Wedding coordinator will liasie with all the suppliers and will follow the itinerary you and your UK based wedding palnner have worked on. You will be provided with a 24 hours emergency telephone number and we will make sure that everything is taken care of so that you won't have to worrky about anything. Occasionaly and subject to availability, your UK based wedding planner / coordinator will also ne on site. This will be confirmed 1 or 2 months before the wedding or as part of your wedding package.

Q. Can we meet the onsite coordinator before the wedding day?

A. Yes you can.

Q. Who do we pay?

A. Payments are made to We Do Weddings by A&J  and full details are provided to you before a booking take place.

Q. When do we pay?

A. We have a contract with all our wedding suppliers and at the time of booking a deposit is requested to secure the service/s. The end balance is usually payable between 8  to 12 weeks before your departure. Your UK based wedding planner will be able to be more specific.

Q. What is your cost?

A. Our cost will be specified when you receive our wedding proposal and it is subject to how large your wedding is and the type of assitance you require from us. Contact us and we will provide you with more details.

Q. Should we book wedding insurance?

A. Yes. We ask all our clients to book wedding insurance. This is for your own protection as if you become ill or are made redundant and decide to cancel your wedding you will have a back up.
